Bailey Ladders’ Winner Tells of the Trip of a Lifetime!
Jenny Bolam is a country girl who works in carpentry and loves her footy, so much so that her purchase of a Bailey ladder and convincing 25 word entry won her and three friends the ultimate weekend away to watch the 2010 NRL Grand Final, thanks to Bailey Ladders.
A self-proclaimed ‘shorty’ Jenny loves using her Bailey ladder for chores around the house and relies on its strength and stability at work everyday.
When told the news she had won the Bailey Ladders Mega Grand Final weekend to the 2010 NRL Grand Final, Jenny couldn’t believe it.
“I was absolutely gobsmacked and thought someone was playing a prank on me!” she said Jenny took her husband, best friend - a huge Dragons fan - and another mate to Sydney and explains there was plenty of excitement and team rivalry in the lead up to the big game.
“Because my best friend is such a big Dragons fan I was cheering them on too. But my husband and his mate decided to support the Roosters just to stir us up; they bought face masks and everything.”
Luckily the result went Jenny’s way and made the perfect end to a fantastic trip.
“It was just wonderful when the Dragons won and was by far the best moment of our trip!”
The group was given plenty of opportunity over the rest of the weekend to visit Sydney and take in the sights.
“I have been to Sydney a few times before, but this was a real adventure with plenty of excitement and I had my husband and best mates there.”
Jenny has just one piece of advice for this year’s winner:
“Have a ball, just like we did, and don’t forget your camera!”
